Kim Guenther holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1996 she started her career with Smith & Gesteland LLP as an associate. In 1997 she joined Arthur Andersen LLP in Milwaukee, progressing from Associate to Tax Manager, specializing in flow-through entity taxes for sectors including real estate, private equity, manufacturing, and law.
In 2002, Kim transitioned to a family office supporting the founder of Lands’ End, where she managed tax preparation for family and business returns, financial statement preparation, benefit plan administration, and investment analysis. She also organized a global scientific conference in New York for one of the family’s foundations.
Kim rejoined Smith & Gesteland in 2005 as a Tax Manager and, after a family hiatus, entered the private sector in 2013. She supported a growing local business, expanding to two new locations and assisting with the launch of a brand new business, before joining Meicher CPAs LLP in 2018. At Meicher, she provides expertise in small business and high-net-worth tax, executive stock option consulting, payroll and valuation support. In 2025, she became a partner at Meicher CPAs LLP and actively participates in client development and mentorship.
An active member of the Wisconsin and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Kim also volunteers in her community, serving on boards and as treasurer for various local organizations. where she has served on several boards.
